(click here) TV-Commentary - Space 1999 Best Episode: The Beta Cloud David Prowse (the actor but not the voice inside the Darth Vader suit), is put into a giant rubber monster outfit and runs around Alpha as the Alphans try to kill him with lasers, missiles, poison gas, electrocution, vacuum, arm wrestling, and other techniques. Ostensibly, the aliens in charge of the giant monster wanted Alpha's life support system. But why? What could they possibly do with it? The only purpose for this, it would seem, would be to give the Alphans something to fight for. I think the aliens just wanted to see a good fight. The rubber suit the monster wore was hysterical, and it was very amusing watching the alphans trying to beat the monster up. Great episode!
