(click here) TV-Commentary - Space 1999 Space Brain: Attack of the killer soap bubbles One of the goofiest episodes definitely had to be "Space Brain". An eagle goes out to investigate and comes back as a digested gloppy thing covered with tons of toothpaste. That's when they discover the space brain, a generator of tons of soap bubbles, is coming towards them. This is the only episode that features the famous scenes of screaming alphans running down the hallways, pursued by giant bubble baths. Supposedly this bubble bath was in danger of crushing Alpha, though I never clearly understood why. All I knew that after this episode all the sets looked very, very clean. Does anyone know how many of these things they had. I can't imagine that a moon base would be able to maintain a large fleet of them.
