(click here) TV-Commentary - Six Million Dollar Man & Bionic Woman Why can't Steve Austin find shirts that button up all the way? Ever notice how Steve Austin's shirts invariably were unbuttoned so we could see his great, hairy, sasquatch-like chest? What was the story with that? We never got to see any of Jaime's cleavage (not that Jaime had much of a bionic endowment to begin with). Don't you think that as an undercover spy Steve Austin was kind of conspicuous walking around with all that chest hair? The Six Million Dollar Man was always a bit of a showoff; in "Population: Zero" the bionic Steve Austin destroyed the sound truck by lifting an entire pole, concrete base and all, and throwing it into the sound truck like a javelin. Steve Austin could have done the same thing with a rock. Do you think the bionic man was just using what was at hand, or do you think he was angry at being locked in a cold meat locker for so long? Each era had its own fashion eccentricities. Just be glad he wasnt wearing an avacoad polyester suit and big ugly gold medallions. As for "Population Zero" Sure he could have used a rock, but wheres the style in THAT? This is a TV show. It needs to be FLASHY. It doesnt NEED to adhere to conventional logic. Otherwise villains would simply shoot the hero in the head instead of blabbing on and on about their master plan.
