Couldn't Alex 7000 do any better than give Jamie a bubble bath?
Remember the episode where Jamie had to penetrate Alex 7000's "fearsome" security measures? All right, he had those lasers mounted to the cameras, that was something. And he did try to suffocate Jamie with a bubble bath. But that was about it! Why not have those lasers in those narrow underground corridors, or doors with 20 inch plating?
I think even Max the bionic dog could have penetrated those weak defenses. And why didn't Jamie try to give Alex a computer virus (did they have those back then?). That would've been another solution.

The foam used by ALEX against Jaime was described as a special fire fighting substance that eats away all the oxygen in a confined space, in fact Alex explains "that even one of Bionic construction has to breathe Jaime". If you think about it, it is a clever idea, it just looked a little silly on screen. It was also explained that ALEX'S defenses became noticably weaker as Jaime progressed because "not even an army" was expected to make it that far.
