What's so deadly about the Death Probe?
Remember the 2 two parters of the death probes, this whirring thing the size of a tank that Steve had to stop? The thing I had trouble understanding is, why was it such a menace? I mean, it was big, and it was on wheels, but the worst it could've done was run over people, right? What was it going to do, run over all the residents of Colorado, one by one?
And there was such an easy way of stopping it; simply hit it on the side with a construction crane, causing it to FALL OVER ON ITS SIDE! End of danger. They could've have built a museum around it and charged admission, raising money for the OSI fund.
Seriously, though, it wasn't such a danger; it didn't have a built-in nuke or anything. Was this really such a fearsome adversary?

the reason the probe that was meant to go to venus accidently came back to earth and became a death probe, is because the Russians that built it, made it out of an indestructable metal that made it able to survive on venus' surface of an atmosphere pressure 90 times that of earth, 900 degrees temps and it thought what it was on venus and it was encountering alien creatures, and it was doing only what it knew to do was to survive.
