I love the Gemma Doyle trilogy also! Libba Bray is such a wonderful story teller. I would love for her to write a 4th book! I made a web site about it on Myspace. Omg! i'm so obsessed with gemma, pippa, felicity, and kartik! I always get asked who i "like" and i say that most of my crushes are either fictional or famous... then i'm aasked "ok, but who?!?" and i say, "Liam"(he's a guy at my school) then i name another couple of cute guys from school, then, "Edward cullen, (what?!? im a 15 year old girl who doesn't live under a rock) kartik from the gemma doyle trilogy," then get cut off with, "who from what??" and i respond by thrusting the first book into whoever's asking's hands and saying "read, it's good for you!" and the conversation usually ends there...

the reason people are comparing the two authors (only one of the authors wrote a trilogy) is because they are both good works of literature. my opinion is that Libba Bray books are much better, but it is good to compare. How else will people get inspired to read more and expand their minds? if i had not read the opinion of others on this site, i would have never read other great books.

Why is everyone comparing the two trilogies? Twilight has nothing on the Gemma Doyle trilogy. The characters are better, the plot is better, the ending is better, and the images are better. Don't get me wrong, I like Twilight, and I was first in line to see the midnight showing, but yeah... not sure what the point of this rant was, lol.

kartik was my fav chacater and I love him more than Edward Cullen!!!!!!!!!!!wow I never thought the day would come.....lol but I like gemma to ohhhhhhh and kartik no matter WAT!!!!!!!!!!!!well I love him forever just like gemma and I don't care if he is a fictional chacater or not!

ok so i just got done reading the last book to the trilogy:( and i am sad a little i hoped that her and kartik would keep it going and they would be together FOREVER i loved kartik!!! why did he have to go.. i hope she keeps writing these books and she make it to where gemma goes back and bring kartik back from the tree of souls.. but that is just wht i thought.. and i hope it happens!!!!

i finished the stephanie meyer books. its true that the libba bray books ended better than the meyer books. but still they are really good.

Ashley- I don't think Libba reads this, unfortunately. It's just a place for us fans to chat.:) Libba has said she is ending the trilogy there (hence the name), but she is writing another book, Going Bovine, which is a modern black comedy. I can't wait for it!

Will you write another Gemma Doyle book? it seems that you could go so far with that still, but what do I know I'm in fifth grade. The only reson I'm not sure is because you didn't write an epolog.
I hope you do those books are adicting.
