Hi all, Hoping someone here can help me--I'm doing some research on the intersections of comic books and the American South, and I'm trying to figure out if the earliest John Carter of Mars comics adaptations--the ones in Dell Funnies that ran from 1939-1941 and the newspaper strips--made reference to, ignored, or altered Burroughs' references to Carter's past as a Virginian and a Confederate officer in A Princess of Mars. Thanks!

I have the hardback (dustcover is not in good shape) of the 1918 'The Son Of Tarzan', New York-A.L. Burt Co. I am interested in selling. Green hardbound book is in excellant condition. Would also include 'The Earth's Core' with the sale. This is first edition, 1922, by the Grosset & Dunlap Publishers of New York. Outside hardback binding is well worn, but inside has no damaged pages at all. Let me know if you are interested or make me an offer.
