The General--A commentary on Govt. Propaganda
#6 learns of a new speedlearning technique, which appears to use subliminal images to insert large amounts of information in one's mind very quickly. #6 realizes this technique can be used to quickly brainwash millions of people over TV, so he gets the computer behind it to self destruct by asking it the question "Why"?
Analysis
1) What I liked about this episode: The dark glasses, hats, and coats they wore, and the cute marching music they played when they walked down the hallways.
2) What I disliked about the episode: Almost everything else. Although the idea of using subliminal images to brainwash is interesting, the way it was handled was not credible. First of all, how could a spinning sphere convey ideas? Second of all, how could a destruction of a computer destroy the subliminal technique, which was a spinning sphere? Didn't they know how to build another such computer?
3) And the most ridiculous thing was getting the computer to self-destruct by asking it "Why". What a very tempermental computer! Was it using an early version of Windows?
