TV-Commentary - Star Wars Do Jedi dress like Tattooine dirt farmers, or vice versa? I'm confused. At first I thought Obi Wan and Luke dressed in the white robes because they were Tattooine dirt farmers; but in the Phantom Menace we see other Jedi dressing this way. If that is the Jedi style of dress, then everyone on Tattooine was dressing like dirt farmers; if it was the other way around, then all Jedi dress like dirt farmers. Which is it? A dark robe with a cowl is also good, provided you know when to throw it back, revealing your face for dramatic effect, usually after performing some heroic and death defying act, like rescuing a half nude space princess from the clutches of some drooling barbarian mutants or uncouth space pirates. Ten feet thick armor with ultra laser resistance?
