Can Hercules cut it?
The show revolves around the Kevin Sorbo character; it's fair to ask how easy he has made the transition from his Hercules character. Anyone familiar with his most recent role on Hercules can't help but make the comparison.
How does he do? It's a bit early to tell, but overall he does a good job--he shows facial emotions, and has different tones of voice, unlike too many actors in science fiction TV. It remains to be seen if the show will survive, but the way it's started out --betrayal, and a fight to reestablish the empire, looks interesting.
