(click here) TV-Commentary - Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Episode III How lame is the new microcartoon Attack of the Clones Series? 1) There is no way to tell a story in 3 minutes. The animation has to move so quickly that if you blink an eye you will miss large amounts of action. Animation should be slow enough that you can actually see the things moving around. 2) The animation is very simple without detail, drawn about as well as the Simpsons. 3) The plot makes no sense. Several "episodes" were shown attacking the banking planet. And then the robots on speeder bikes fought back, blowing up the troopers. And then the story turned elsewhere. What was the purpose of those several episodes showing the troopers attacking? Who knows? 4) Most episodes feature characters who say little or nothing. If we can't know anything about the characters, why should we care? 5) This kind of exposition of the Clone Wars would have been good for a MOVIE. Instead we get drip drip of hastily put together and poorly animated three minute clips. What a waste. The prequel trilogy should have been shelved before it made it to the script stage. Yes, Obi-Wan could have done a mercy killing on Ani, he was suffering badly. Obi-Wan's soul wouldn't have gone on to the Darkside. Remember, this was originaly aimed at little children and young Star War fans so hyped and spooled up on their own fandom the writters weren't thinking anyone would really stop to question anything or pick it apart. It was a hard sell for me in the begining but I gave it shot and I found I liked it a lot, can't wait for Vol.2 and the yet to be seen Star Wars Chronicals TV show.
