Whatever happened to Paul, Kano, Sondra,and Victor?
Ever notice that Paul, Kano, Sondra and Victor disappeared after the first season? Ever wonder why? Here are my theories:
1) Paul: he got to be too easy for Koenig to slap around when he was taken over by an alien, so he was replaced with Tony.
2) Sondra: she spoke English too well and was not sufficiently submissive, so was replaced with Yasko.
3) Kano: They realized that viewers were turned off by a character who had "computar" as a love interest.
4) Victor: He put people to sleep. He also needed hair.

Victor left the show once he found out that Star Trek goof Frieberger was getting involved. Now he is really stone cold dead.
Paul Morrow, the Gigolo of the show. He basically started a gay strip club deep within the bowels of Moonbase Alpha after Alan Carter outted him on his birthday by showing him doing it doggie style with David Kano. Which is why he too was gone.
Sandra Benes, she was smoking hot - man I was in love with her back then. That woman could have made me crawl on my knees and do whatever she wanted. She vanished after a lesbian that worked in the medical center kidnapped her and used her as a sex slave until she died when she choked on one of those red gag balls.

The actor who played Victor simply got tired of doing the show, felt it was puerile and embarasing to his career, and refused to come back in the second season, saying "I think I'll go hang out with the grown ups for a while."
The "Paul" Character was factored out because he simply wasn't very interesting, and was a bland number two for Koenig. They wanted a more aggressive first officer and brought in Tony as his replacement.
"Kano" and "Sondra" were dayplayers, not part of the principle cast, but rather simply recurring characters. They were let go as part of the attempt to keep the budget down in season 2. "Sondra" was replaced by "Yasko" for a batch of episodes, and then Barbara Bain personally got her re-hired to the show for the remainder of season 2.

1) paul: the boss man slapped him about so much that he burst a vital blood vessel which killed him (as commander, you'd want to hush that up for respect purposes - that's why no one talks about it). Helena was unable to save him.
2) Sondra: she was so butch an unspecified alien encounter actually pushed her that little bit further and turned her into a man. S/he is actually seen many times in series 2 as one of the purple security guards (in Star Trek they wear red, in S1999, purple).
3) Kano: got electrocuted by Computar whilst trying to make love to it (contary to popular belief, this didn't kill him - computer returned his 'love' by giving him a solo path back to earth, where he grew corn-beads and ended up playing as a striker for Arsenal FC).
4) Victor: his mechanical heart gave out. Bored himself to death.

Sandra got tired of being cooped up on the moon wearing those unflattering uniforms.
So she changed back into her leopard skin, hijacked a pilot and an Eagle, and found a nice planet where she could settle down and raise cave babies.

Actors who demand more get phased out. Tht is why Anderson loved working with puppets when they get difficult you can either string them along or tell them to go get knotted. Or simply terrorize them with termites.
