TV-Commentary - Lost in Space (TV)
If Don gets Judy pregnant, can the Robot give her an abortion?
Let's face it, if Don fools around with Judy enough there is a chance she can get pregnant. And that would be a disaster in outer space where they don't have the facilities to care for a child, so an abortion would have to be seriously considered. Now the Robot is a versatile machine--he can sing, make jokes, and even sense danger. Do you think a few electrical bursts from his claws could help Judy get an abortion? Or do you think Judy would go to term but freeze dry her baby in a hibernation tube until they could get safely back to Earth?

Why is such a horrible question asked in the first place? The Robot is programmed not to attack or harm helpless or non hostile beings. An unborn baby is the most helpless and non hostile being there could ever be. I really sickens me that a living person who obviously wasn't aborted makes a decision that someone else should be. I can not and will not support baby killing, in real life or fantasy.

I thought I saw Don looking a Penny a few times running his tongue over his lips after her jugs started grow. There were times were Judy and Penny were tinkering with the hyrdroponic garden and Don would sit in the rocks starring at them rather intensely, I wonder what he was thinking. If Don had made a move for a three some I wonder if their John would have torn Don a new one? Especially if Don had gotten both Judy and Penny pregnant. After all virile young rocket stud like Don would be getting a major woody all the time. Things must have been very tough for Wil Robinson, a kid entering puberty with absolutely no prospects for getting some, no one there but his sisters and his mother. Unless you count Dr. Smith, but I really dont want to even think about that.

I believe that Judy would go to term with the child. Her Mother, Dr. Maureen Robinson, doctor of space medicine, would supervise the delivery and cryogenic preservation of the Infant. Child would be preserved while still in the embryonic sac while still in the embryonic sace

Yeah, definitely - abort the runt. Before Doctor Smith can get at it.
