If you watch the movie carefully, it is pretty obvious that Vasquez and Drake have something going on that is more than friendship... The looks they exchange, and that great part where he calls her 'Babe'. "Aliens" implied a great deal of fierce sexual enegry between Vasquez and her smartgunner-in-arms Drake. They're always in close contact of one another. She enjoy teasing him and even gives him a hardy LOVE SLAP! Drake whispers to her, "Alright, baby..." She refused to let Drake behind and nearly killed Gorman in a fit of anger. She was in near-tears at the lost of Drake -- so she (bravely) swallowed it in rage. Hudson even flirts with Vasquez with lusty fire in his eyes: "Anytime, any place!" Later, there was a fierce, slightly angry, attraction between her and Gorman. He was responsible for the massacre of her teammates. And yet, at their fimal scene together, they cling to one another -- almost comforting. Just because she had short hair and muscles doesn't make her a lesbian. She's a Marine!
