The best part of the Lord of the Rings
Book Title
Lord Of The Rings
There were so many! It really was a very good trilogy. Almost all of it was quite readable and rereadable. Others may disagree, but I think the best part was near the beginning when Frodo is chased by the Black Riders. You get the real sense of pursuit here, of danger on empty roads with the enemy closing in on him at many different times, with no Gandalf or Aragorn to protect him, which makes the story that much more compelling.
The other part I really liked was when Gandalf came back and announced his presence to Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas et. al. He didn't just come up and announce he'd returned; instead, he teased them a bit, pretending to be Saruman just to rattle their cage a bit. It was only when they tried to attack him that Gandalf cast their weapons aside, announced he was not just Gandalf but Gandalf 2.0, invulnerable to their weapons, and had his little joke on them. It showed a funny, mischievious side of Gandalf that we didn't see too often.
What do you think was the best part?

I think the Ride of the Rohirrim is the most amazing part.

My favorite part was the Battle of Helm's Deep. I love battle scenes and that was really long and I definetly felt up close in the action.

My favorite part of the books were when
the Hobbits went to the Prancing Pony, met Strider. Second is the forming of the Fellowship of the Ring.
Next is The March of the Ents. Followed by The Gandalf figthing the Balog. Of course the whole series of the books have so many exciting parts. This series will live forever in readers hearts.

My favourite part in the books was the Lorien section - especially the gift-giving. It was just really interesting. But in the movies, the best ever part was definetly the bit where Strider and the hobbits are on Weathertop and the Black Riders attack them! It was really cool!
