Witchblade - Is this a lame, bizzare show or a bizarre, lame show?
I didn't know whether to laugh or groan when I tried to watch this show. Let me count the reasons why:
1) The main character's name is ridiculous. It sounds like Ziti or Fettucini.
2) Fettucini has huge eyebrows that look like two catapillars taking a nap.
3) Fettucini is the only policegirl I know who wears fashionable leather pants.
4) She sometimes wears armor that deflects bullets--the reason that armor fell out of fashion was because when guns were developed, armor was found not to be bulletproof.
5) The practice of women wearing armor and fighting in wars in the middle ages was about as common as men wearing dresses during the same period.
6) The artsy cinematic technique of this show where no image can stay on the screen more than two seconds makes for some dizzying watching. Two seconds of Fettucini running around in her leather pants - two seconds of drip drip drip - Two seconds of Fettucinis eyebrows coming together - two seconds of painting changing form - two seconds of old guy staring at mirror/window.
7) The old guy staring at the mirror/window gets old quick.
8) The homeless guy who follows Fettucini around looks like a homeless guy.
9) The buff guy who's Fettucini's assistant is very impotent.
10) Did I cover the business of how ridiculous it is to pretend that women were knights, or can stop bullets? Yes, I see I already did..... well, it's so ridiculous that it's worth mentioning twice.

Apparently this was a rip off of Xena. I never event recall hearing of it until today. Xena went on longer because of the lesbian angle. Everyone kept waiting for Xena and Gabrielle to get it on. Something about 2 carpet muchers bumping uglies really turns guys on. Why is that? Has anyone ever researched this important question. But I digress. Wait, what is the subject again? Halloween 3: Season of the Witchblade or something? Oh forget it.

well then you should have just changed the channel and let the rest of us enjoy a great series. But like all programs you like, they stop making them and leave us with nothing good on t.v.
